Get To Know Me
Hi, I’m Jackie! I am a forever learner, fluent extrovert, and laughter addict. I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where I joined the U.S. Air Force straight out of high school. Serving my country shaped me in all the best ways, and while I’m deeply proud of that chapter, I’m even more proud of earning my degree and chasing a career I truly love.
These days, I live in beautiful Boerne, Texas, with my incredible husband and our high-energy border collie, Holly (she runs the household, we just pay the bills). Boerne is perfect for our everything-outdoors lifestyle. Whether I’m running, hiking, swimming, biking, paddle boarding, or just walking Holly under the Texas sky, I feel at home outside.
I’ve completed several half-marathons and triathlons, and I thrive on any challenge that pushes me to grow.
Communication has always been my calling. Even as a little girl, I had a natural ability to connect with people and make them feel heard—strangers, friends, adults, kids—it didn’t matter. Being the only girl with two older brothers also taught me how to be both tough and empathetic, a mix that has served me well in both my personal and professional life.
I love people, I love dialogue, and I believe in the power of communication to build trust, inspire action, and create real, lasting impact. That belief drives everything I do. From hosting The Dialogue Effect podcast to writing for The Boerne Life Newspaper, I tell stories that matter, facilitate conversations that bring people together, and show up every day ready to do the work.
If you're looking for someone who brings heart, hustle, and a deep love for people and storytelling, let’s connect! I’m ready to make something meaningful with you.
Professional Summary
This portfolio is a space to share my professional journey in communications, leadership, and public engagement.
I bring over two years of experience in strategic dialogue, civic facilitation, and digital content creation from my time at the University of Texas at San Antonio, along with five years of leadership and communications experience in the U.S. Air Force.
From moderating public discussions to briefing senior military leaders and managing social media strategy, I’ve learned how to connect with people across all walks of life.
Outside of my full-time work, I host The Dialogue Effect podcast and professionally contribute to The Boerne Life Newspaper, where I write feature stories that celebrate local voices and community life.
Whether I’m crafting stories, promoting inclusive messaging, or designing communication strategies that resonate, I aim to blend emotional intelligence, creativity, and technical skill in everything I do.
